Art meets Design meets Technology
From a concept in an electronics lab in the USA to a design facility in Ireland to a state of the art manufacturing facility in China, the Toplite range of products is a collaboration between the worlds finest design, technology and manufacturing teams.
The story of Toplite began with a simple conversation, as is the case with many great ideas. But from concept to creation the cutting edge Merlin range of products is the result of a collaboration which spans the globe.

Global Team
As Chief of Engineering Daniel Yin explains, "This collaborative effort has brought our concepts to fruition, and allowed us to create products that meet the needs of the most demanding experts in the entertainment lighting industry. From our design team through engineering… through manufacturing to the sales and marketing teams, we have built an integrated operation spanning the world.”

Director of Worldwide Sales, John O'Connor, a veteran of the European sound and lighting industry agrees with his colleague, and adds "the manufacturing process was a crucial element of our concept, we knew the product would get the attention of the industry but we wanted the pricing to get the attention of the market."

Custom Colors
Sean Gleeson, Head of Operations based at Toplite’s HQ in Ireland concurs, saying “the custom colour process was an added feature we wanted to achieve and the Guangzhou facility made it a reality, in fact it has streamlined the whole operation.” Gleeson is referring to Toplite’s state of the Art facility in China’s ‘Technology City’
“ Our quality control people are delighted with the results,” Gleeson added “and so are our customers"

The custom color process enables Toplite to provide the baked-on scratch resistant, soft matte finish in countless colors. This feature further enables designers to integrate the elegant styling into any setting. This fusion of cutting edge technology with elegance and versatility is what makes the Merlin range so unique.

Styling and Versatility
“The custom color process is yet another feature coupled with the compact size and the sleek elegant design, which gives the Merlin range of products versatility, a real departure from the purely functional units we in the industry have been accustomed to.” John O’Connor explains “It’s been a factor in the success we’ve had in Europe and Asia and this will be tremendously beneficial to us as we enter the North American market, they have been waiting for these products”

The Americas
“I am delighted at how energized all the teams are as we enter the Americas” says Maurice O’Brien, Director of Toplite’s North American operation, “This is a truly global project. Ideas, expertise and talent from America, Europe and Asia coming together with one goal, you can’t beat that”
